MyWay Route Planner Main List

Route planner and optimization app for DPD couriers and owner drivers

A DPD round is a long list of drops, and most of them come with a Predict hour your customers are already waiting for. MyWay helps you plan the day around it. Add your stops in less than a minute with multi-line import, an Excel or CSV file or a photo, give each stop its time window, and MyWay finds an order that keeps every one of them. Drive it with Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps or any nav app you like, and keep scanning on your DPD handheld as usual. Got an extra drop or a collection? Add it and optimize again in seconds. Save up to an hour a day, spend less on fuel and finish your round earlier. Don’t go the extra mile — go MyWay.

Frequently Asked Questions

The top 8 answers every DPD driver needs to know

Who owns DPD?

DPD is the main brand of Geopost, the parcel group of France’s La Poste. Geopost works in more than 50 countries under the DPD, Chronopost, SEUR, BRT, Speedy and Jadlog brands, and in 2025 it delivered about 2.24 billion parcels (Geopost).

DPD UK handles more than 360 million parcels a year with more than 10,000 vehicles from 85 locations. DPD Germany delivers 352 million parcels a year through 770 system partners and about 11,000 drivers.

How do DPD drivers work in the UK?

DPD UK drivers are either employed by DPD or self-employed Owner Driver Franchisees (ODFs). A franchise is a route rather than a fixed list of addresses, the number of parcels on it changes from day to day, and one person can hold more than one route (Employment Tribunal, 2025).

A full ODF usually works five days a week in a 3.5-tonne van and is paid every four weeks; ODF Lite uses a smaller van, and a 7.5-tonne route needs a C1 licence and a Driver CPC. As an owner driver you pay for your own fuel, so a shorter route is money in your pocket, not just time saved.

How do DPD drivers work in Germany?

DPD Germany delivers through system partners: self-employed transport companies that employ their own drivers and serve a fixed delivery area from Monday to Saturday. They are paid by the scans of the parcels they deliver, every 14 days (DPD).

Drivers employed by a system partner must earn at least the German minimum wage: €13.90 an hour from January 2026 and €14.60 from January 2027.

What is DPD Predict?

Predict is how DPD tells your customers when you’ll arrive. They get a one-hour delivery window by text or email, and on the day a live map shows your name, how many stops are before theirs, and narrows the window to 15 minutes (DPD). DPD’s handheld guides you from stop to stop through the round.

Can I keep the Predict hours when I plan with MyWay?

Yes. Give each stop its Predict hour as a time window, and MyWay works out an order that reaches every customer inside their window. You don’t have to juggle the hours by hand, and when an extra drop or a collection comes in, you add it and optimize the rest of the round again in seconds.

How much do DPD drivers earn?

DPD doesn’t publish its rates. Owner drivers are paid for the parcels they deliver, so pay depends on the route and the season. In autumn 2025 DPD UK announced a 65p cut to the rate for most deliveries; about 1,500 self-employed drivers refused work for three days, and DPD postponed the cut until after Christmas (GPA, reporting the Guardian).

When you’re paid per parcel and buy your own fuel, every mile you don’t drive is yours to keep.

Can I plan my DPD round for free?

Yes, for short rounds. MyWay’s free Starter plan optimizes routes of up to 15 stops. A full DPD round is longer, so for a whole day the Pro plan optimizes up to 200 stops per route — try it free for 7 days first.

Can DPD drivers use MyWay?

Yes. MyWay runs on your own iPhone or Android phone, next to your DPD handheld. Keep scanning and confirming deliveries the way DPD asks you to, and let MyWay plan the order of your stops and guide you from one to the next with the map app you prefer. Whether you’re an owner driver in the UK or a driver for a system partner in Germany, you can try MyWay absolutely free of charge.
